THE STORY BEHIND LS TRUCK LABS

BUILT THROUGH
GENERATIONS.

LS Truck Labs grew out of a lifelong love of building vehicles, the time spent learning alongside family, and one simple frustration: the useful information is everywhere. This is our attempt to bring it together.

WHERE IT STARTED

More Than A Hobby

The site may be about LS engines and GM trucks, but the reason behind it is bigger than a parts list.

From My Dad's Garage
To My Son's.

I grew up building vehicles with my dad. Some of my best memories came from learning how things worked, turning wrenches together, fixing problems and figuring out how to make something better than it was before.

That experience stuck with me. Building vehicles became something I genuinely loved—not just because of horsepower or the finished product, but because of the process. You learn to solve problems, pay attention to details, ask better questions and keep going when the job does not go exactly as planned.

Now I get to do the same thing with my son. Getting to share that interest with him made me appreciate even more what my dad gave me: not just knowledge about vehicles, but time together and a skill that can be passed down.

“The truck is the project. The memories, knowledge and time together are the part that lasts.”
WHY THIS SITE EXISTS

One Place For The Useful Stuff

The goal is simple: less bouncing between scattered websites, old threads and half-finished answers.

Bring It Together

Engine tech on one site. Transmission information somewhere else. Tuning buried in an old forum thread. Calculators on another page. LS Truck Labs exists to put those resources in one place.

Keep It Practical

Focus on the information that helps somebody actually build, diagnose, tune or improve a truck—not filler written just to fill a page.

Build A Community

Create a place where people can share complete combinations, lessons learned, datalogs, build journals and the details that make the next person's job easier.

WHAT WE WANT LS TRUCK LABS TO BE

Built To Be Shared

A good technical resource gets better when experienced people add what they learned and newer builders are comfortable asking questions.

What You'll Find Here

The core of LS Truck Labs is organized around the information people repeatedly need during a real project.

Real-world LS and GM truck technical guides
Complete build combinations instead of isolated parts
HP Tuners and datalogging guidance
Useful calculators and quick-reference tools
Parts, tools and swap-planning resources
A community built around sharing what actually worked

How We Want To Do It

No site can replace checking the correct service information or manufacturer specifications. What we can do is make the path to a good decision clearer.

Separate measured results from guesses
Explain the reason behind a recommendation
Show the whole combination and relevant context
Correct information when better evidence comes along
Keep the garage welcoming to beginners and experienced builders alike
Never lose sight of why we started building in the first place
