Bring data when you have itDatalogs, measurements, part numbers, test conditions and repeatable results make advice far more useful.
Separate fact from opinionSay what you measured, what you experienced, and what you are estimating. All three can be useful when they are labeled honestly.
Critique the idea, not the personDisagreement is useful. Personal attacks are not. Explain why you think a recommendation is wrong and support it.
Correct bad informationIf better evidence shows up, update the conclusion. The goal is a better technical archive, not winning an argument.
